Kanpur: The Kanpur division is likely to witness dense cloud cover and drizzle during the day on Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).A fresh western disturbance may lead to cloudy skies across the region. There is a possibility of drizzle in isolated areas on March 27 and 28, accompanied by strong north-westerly winds and thundercloud activity. Weather expert S Sunil Pandey from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology stated that only drizzle is expected in the Kanpur division. He added that wind speeds may increase during the afternoon, reaching up to around 12 kmph. Pandey said cloud cover is likely to bring down daytime temperatures. Another western disturbance is also developing and is expected to become active on March 28, producing similar weather conditions. Meanwhile, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, which is 5.5 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 15.6 degrees Celsius, close to the seasonal average.
