Kanpur: Gliders India Limited (GIL) was honoured with self-certification level by the DGQA of the Ministry of Defence. This achievement for GIL’s Float Assembly and Boat Assault Pneumatic products demonstrated unwavering commitment to self-reliant India and the quality provided to the armed forces. DGQA Director General N Manoharan, ADG QA (V&E) Major General J. James, and Controller CQAE (EE) Pune Brigadier R. Bhatnagar presented this distinguished certification level to GIL CMD MC Balasubramanian at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Feb 6. OPF chief GM BL Meena was also present. Balasubramanian stated that this achievement was an important milestone in their journey towards manufacturing autonomy. tnn
