Ahmedabad: Gujarat’s aviation infrastructure is set for a significant leap with the Dholera Greenfield Airport project expected to be completed by Dec 2025, says data tabled in Parliament by the Union ministry of civil aviation. The ministry confirmed that no deadline was extended for the project completion.The airport, coming up near the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), is part of the govt of India’s push to enhance regional air connectivity under its Greenfield Airports Policy, 2008. The airport, strategically positioned to support Dholera SIR, is expected to bolster both passenger and cargo connectivity, serving industries, trade hubs, and emerging urban settlements. It is expected to relieve traffic at the Ahmedabad airport. TNN
