Dhanbad: Public services at all post offices in Dhanbad and Bokaro will remain suspended on Monday due to a system upgradation exercise.The disruption would impact arond 333 post offices and its branches across both the districts. Senior superintendent of post, Uttam Kumar Singh, said, “The system is being upgraded to improve efficiency and integrate services digitally. Owing to the scale of the upgrade, no public service-related work like transactions and bookings, including money orders, parcels, registries, and speed posts, would not be processed today.”The system upgradation is being carried out as part of a nationwide effort to modernise India Post’s functioning and make services more accessible online. With increasing reliance on digital infrastructure, the post offices are being equipped to handle digital payments, real-time tracking, and faster communication. Customers have been advised to visit post offices from Tuesday, post office officials said.
