Patna: Deputy CM and revenue minister Vijay Kumar Sinha suspended three circle officers (COs) —Jitendra Pandey (Araria), Rajnikant (Patna Sadar), and Anand Kumar (East Champaran)—for providing misleading media statements regarding an ongoing strike. Sinha, in a press conference on Wednesday, clarified that over 50% officers are on duty and warned of strict action against those obstructing work during the March closing and census preparations. Additionally, a three-member committee led by Mahendra Pal (with members Mona Jha and Nawazish) was formed to probe the conduct and past professional actions of certain resigned officials.
