The party alleged that successive Left and Right fronts in the state have been engaging in minority appeasement, while poor sections among forward communities continue to face neglect.
DSJP president KSR Menon said that forward communities, including Christians who constitute around 20 per cent of Kerala’s population, face discrimination in education and employment, and asserted that a change in government is necessary to address these issues.
Criticising the current reservation system, he said that benefits are often availed by economically well-off sections, leaving the most deserving among the poor deprived.

He alleged that the government was involved in irregularities, including gold-related scams, in temples such as Sabarimala and Guruvayur and urged voters to use the election to end corruption.
