Varanasi: Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) division of the East Central Railway on Monday organised a celebration of the historic achievement of receiving 11 shields, including the GM Overall Efficiency Shield, at the ‘Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar–2025′.The programme began with a grand celebration procession from DDU Junction to the divisional railway manager’s office. Taken out amidst the proclamation of ‘Marching ahead on the path of progress, we are building a Naya Bharat’, the procession was made festive by the beats of dhol-nagadas. All the shields received by the division were attractively displayed during the procession. On this occasion, all branch officers, a large number of railway employees and children of scouts and guides participated enthusiastically.Divisional railway manager Uday Singh Meena welcomed all officers and employees at his office. He congratulated everyone, describing this achievement as the result of teamwork, dedication and excellent work culture, and called upon all to maintain such outstanding performance in the future as well. The DRM said that this achievement is the result of collective effort, dedication and devotion to duty.
