Jammu, Mar 15: Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, on Sunday visited the Eidgah Jammu at Residency Road to review on-the-spot preparations for worshippers ahead of Eid al Fitr.
She was accompanied by Special Officer Auqaf Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator Jammu Abid Hussain and other sectional heads.
During the visit, Andrabi inspected the facilities at the Eidgah and directed the concerned officials to ensure proper cleanliness, adequate water supply, electricity and other essential services for the people who will gather there to offer Eid prayers.
She said that the largest Eid prayer congregation in Jammu is held at the Eidgah, and the Waqf Board is committed to ensuring proper arrangements and smooth facilitation for the worshippers.
“Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, in coordination with various government departments and with the support of the public, will ensure that the Eid prayers are conducted in a smooth and satisfactory manner as in previous years,” Andrabi said.
