Jaipur: State govt will develop an IT City near Jaipur—announced in the state budget—on the lines of Visakhapatnam’s date centre hub, Amaravati’s Quantum Valley, and Hyderabad’s HITEC City. chief secretary V Srinivas stated at a high-level meeting of the urban development and housing department Saturday.Union minister of state for Ministry of Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for Quantum Valley in Amaravati Saturday. The Andhra Pradesh govt is also developing a data centre hub in Visakhapatnam. In July last year, a team of JDA officials led by former JDA commissioner P Anandhi visited Hyderabad to study the development, operations, and maintenance of the HITEC City there.
“The CS instructed officials to expedite development of a high-tech city near Jaipur, as announced in the budget, and directed them to study Andhra Pradesh and Telangana’s model to adopt modern urban planning, technological infrastructure, and innovation-based models,” a press release by JDA stated. The meeting also included discussions on the status of UDH department’s budget announcements for 2024-25 and 2025-26, road repair, renovation and quality control works, effective use of CBUD app, and status of master plans being prepared for various cities.
