Jind: Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU), Jind, organised its first cultural event titled, Rangeela Phag, to mark the festival of Holi. The event was held under the aegis of Haryana Kala Parishad and Pratishtha Kala Manch & Cultural Welfare Committee. The programme aimed at reviving rich folk traditions and help youth connect with their roots. Addressing the gathering, CRSU vice-chancellor Rampal Saini described Holi as symbol of love, brotherhood and social harmony.Several distinguished personalities and artists from across Haryana attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, VC Prof Ram Pal Saini said a university is not only a centre for awarding degrees but also a platform for personality development and cultural awareness. He said when students express themselves through “Phag, Ragini” and folk songs, it enhances their confidence, creativity and social bonding. The VC added that the festival of Holi conveys unity in diversity and emphasised the need for youth to remain connected with their cultural heritage.
