Thiruvananthapuram: A CPM worker was arrested after creating a ruckus at Kottarakkara taluk hospital, where he was brought for a medical examination after being apprehended for drunk driving in connection with a road accident on Saturday night.According to police, the accused Rajneesh, a native of Moozhikode and a member of CPM Kottathala town branch committee, allegedly abused hospital staff and police personnel, attempted to assault them and damaged the casualty OP counter. Police said the car driven by Rajneesh reportedly overturned near Panayil Junction around 8pm. The three occupants of the car, including Rajneesh, sustained minor injuries in the incident. When the officers arrived at the accident spot, Rajneesh fled the scene. However, he was chased and apprehended. Police then took him to the taluk hospital for a mandatory medical examination, where he allegedly created a disturbance. He again created a ruckus at the police station by shouting obscenities and behaving aggressively, police said. Police said that Rajneesh is an accused in around five other cases.
