T’puram: CPI state executive on Friday passed a resolution against the Hindi film ‘Kerala Story 2′. The state executive also sought the cancellation of the censor board certification given to the film. It also wanted the authorities to take legal action against the makers of the film, which the executive said was trying to create communal tension.
“The film refutes the socio-cultural achievements that Kerala made over the years. It wants to spread a false narrative that Kerala was a hotbed of religious fundamentalists and forced religious conversion. The filmmakers are trying to create confusion among people by spreading the anti-minority sentiments of Sangh Parivar,” the resolution said. It said that the film was stuffed with more hate and lies. The bid to create communal tension in the name of freedom of expression was not acceptable, the party said.
