Prayagraj: Prayagraj Police Commissionerate on Monday intensified patrolling after identifying over 110 hotspots, as well as over 3,900 Holika Dahan sites across the district. Cops also made extensive security and traffic arrangements for peaceful festival celebrations.As several Holi Milan programmes will be organised from March 2-8, authorities have drafted a multi-layered security and safety plan.A senior cop told TOI, “Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the festival and additional police teams were also assigned for patrolling in mixed populated areas.” “Duties of both civil and traffic policemen were assigned at major crossings, intersections, and prominent spots,” he added. To strengthen surveillance and response capabilities, companies of para-military forces, along with local intelligence unit teams, were also mobilised. tnn
