Kaithal: In a continued crackdown on accused involved in the exam leak scam, the Kaithal police SIT investigating the 2021 Haryana Police constable exam paper leak case arrested another accused on Tuesday. The team, including inspector Rajender and CIA-1 in-charge SI Jaswant, apprehended the accused identified as Krishan Kumar, a resident of Madina village of Sonipat district. According to the police spokesperson, on Aug 7, 2021, the then CIA-1 Kaithal team arrested Sandeep and Gautam (both residents of Khapar village of Jind district) and Naveen, a resident of Pyoda village, along with answer keys in connection with the paper leak case. A case was registered under various sections at city police station. So far, 169 accused were already arrested in this case. Earlier, another accused, Kuldeep from Narwana, was also arrested. During interrogation, it was revealed that Krishan Kumar acted as a middleman and sent candidates to read the leaked paper, which was arranged in Karnal.On Tuesday, the accused was sent to judicial custody as per court orders, said police spokesperson.
