Patna: State Congress president Rajesh Ram, along with other senior party functionaries, on Friday participated in a protest against the shortage of LPG cylinders in the state.“Due to the wrong and faulty economic policies of PM Narendra Modi, the prices of LPG, petrol and diesel have increased, which has hit the middle class, poor and other households. People are finding it difficult to run and manage their kitchens,” Ram said, adding the rates of electricity charges have also increased.
Pointing out the Congress would continue to raise issues affecting the people, Ram urged the govt to stabilise prices and ensure LPG cylinders are made available to people without any hassle. He said the party has been raising people’s issues in a phased manner and had organised mass protests at block headquarters on Thursday.Among those who took part in the protest were former state Congress chief and minister Madan Mohan Jha, MLC Sameer Kumar Singh, former MLC Prem Chandra Mishra, former MLAs Amita Bhushan and Pratima Kumari Das, disciplinary committee chairman Kapildeo Prasad Yadav and other senior functionaries including Brajesh Prasad Munnan and Bijendra Chaudhary, along with several party workers.
