Ludhiana: Continuing action against illegal constructions, Municipal Corporation (MC) sealed an illegal construction in 600 sq yards area in Manna Singh Nagar.Further, action has also been taken against construction of an illegal colony in Piru Banda area (near Salem Tabri) and the construction work has been stopped. Working on the directions of MC commissioner Neeru Katyal Gupta, the action against illegal constructions has been taken by the building branch of MC Zone A office.Officials from MC’s building branch stated that the illegal colony was being constructed in an area of around 2,200 sq yards. The work has been stopped at the site and the owner has been directed to present relevant documents. Further, the construction work in 600 sq yards was also going on in violation of the building bylaws, due to which the building has been sealed. The civic body officials appealed to the residents to commence the construction works only after getting the building plans approved from the civic body, otherwise strict action would be taken against illegal constructions.
