Prayagraj: A three-day international conclave titled ‘Transforming Indian Agriculture for Viksit Bharat@2047: Empowering Startups, Enhancing Skill Development & Fostering Agripreneurship for Youth’ commenced at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) on Thursday. The event is being held under the banner of Krishi Mantrana -2026.Addressing the inaugural function, director, Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), BHU, Prof U P Singh said, “Youths must create jobs for their communities and bring transformation not only in agriculture but across all sectors.” DDG, UPCAR, Lucknow, prof Parmendra Singh emphasised the need for technology-driven agricultural development that is economically viable.
