Poonch, Feb 25: Chief Medical Officer, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan on Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Lassana in Surankote of Poonch district to review the functioning of healthcare services and assess the quality of facilities being provided to the public.
During the visit, the CMO inspected various sections of the health centre, including the dental section, family welfare and immunization unit, dispensary, medicine store, laboratory, and wards.
He reviewed the availability of essential medicines, medical equipment, and overall functioning of different units to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
Khan interacted with patients and attendants to obtain feedback regarding treatment facilities, staff behaviour, and overall services at the health centre. He directed the staff to maintain a patient-friendly approach and ensure that better healthcare facilities are provided to the general public.
Emphasizing discipline and professionalism, the CMO instructed the staff to strictly adhere to dress code and maintain punctuality in their duties. He stressed that dedicated services and improved public healthcare delivery should remain the priority of the health department.
The CMO also inspected the ongoing construction work of Block Public Health Unit (BPHU) at the facility and issued necessary directions to the concerned authorities for its timely completion.
Khan reiterated the department’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services and ensuring quality medical facilities for the people of the area.
