Lucknow: A special investigation team (SIT) was set up to investigate the murder of a deputy general manager and an assistant manager at HPCL’s compressed bio gas plant in Budaun on Mar 12.The SIT, set up on the instructions of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, will be supervised by the Bareilly divisional commissioner.In a message on the social media platform ‘X’, the CM said that the govt took prompt action in the matter and that a fair and transparent investigation into the incident will be ensured.“In this regard, it is to be informed that the culprit was already arrested, but even after this, if there is any possibility of a conspiracy, then strict action will be taken under the state govt’s zero tolerance policy towards crime and criminals. A police post was set up to strengthen the security of the CBG plant. My condolences are with the bereaved family,” the CM said in his post.The SIT was tasked with thoroughly investigating all aspects related to the incident so that, if any negligence or possible conspiracy comes to light, the responsible individuals can be identified and strict action can be taken against them. The administration took various steps to strengthen security arrangements at the plant, and a police outpost was established there. In his condolence message to the families of the two deceased, the CM assured them that every necessary step is being taken to ensure justice.
