Across Haryana, the average maximum temperature fell by 0.9°C from the previous dayGurgaon: The city saw a partly cloudy day on Saturday, with the minimum temperature going down to 19.7°C from 22.4°C a day earlier and the maximum temperature also dropping to 30.8°C from Friday’s 32.8°C at Gurgaon KVK observatory.At the NorthCap University monitoring station, the minimum temperature was 20.2°C and the maximum was 32.7°C.Across Haryana, the average maximum temperature fell by 0.9°C from the previous day. It remained 1.8°C below normal for this time of the season. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Bhiwani at 33.3°C.According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) rain activity is expected in the coming days, with a fresh western disturbance likely to affect northwest India from April 7.Under its influence, light to moderate rainfall is likely at a few places in Haryana, including Gurgaon, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Isolated areas may receive light rain on April 5 and April 6, mainly in the northern and western parts of the state.The weather department further said there is unlikely to be any significant change in temperatures over the next 24 hours. “The maximum temperature is expected to rise by 2-3°C over the next two days, followed by a gradual fall of 3-5°C in the subsequent two days as the western disturbance becomes active,” it said.Meanwhile, the air quality index improved to the ‘moderate’ category on Saturday after remaining in the ‘poor’ category for the past two days. The AQI was 148, compared to 295 on Friday.
