Patna: A Class XII student was found dead in his hostel room in the Mainpura area under Patliputra police station limits of Patna on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Roshan Thakur, a resident of Araria district. SHO Atulesh Kumar said police teams reached the spot after receiving information. “The exact cause of death is not yet clear. It is being investigated whether it is a case of suicide or murder,” he said. The body was found lying on the floor, wrapped in a blanket. The room’s door and window were open, while food and utensils were kept on a stool. A saffron-coloured towel was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Police said all angles are being examined and evidence collected.
