Ghaziabad: To maintain law and order and help students prepare better for the ongoing board examinations, the police commissionerate has banned the use of loud music and DJ programmes after 10pm for 36 days, an official release stated. The use of DJs will be in accordance with the noise pollution guidelines issued by the high court and the amended Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.Use of loudspeakers is prohibited around examination centres during the examination period.In addition, Section 163 of the BNSS has also been enforced from Feb 18 to March 27, which prevents five or more persons from gathering at a public place without the order of the competent authority or inciting anyone to do so. This restriction will not apply to marriages and funeral processions.Operation of photocopiers and scanners is also prohibited within a minimum radius of 1 km from examination centres. Those violating the order will face legal action, the statement read.Drone shooting in and around 1 km of govt offices and examination centres is also banned. Additionally, no drone camera shooting or photography shall be done at other places without the permission of the deputy commissioner of police of the concerned zone.Except for security personnel deployed at examination centres, all persons are prohibited from carrying any kind of weapons to the examination venue, and any person doing so shall be punished under Section 223 of the BNS.No examinee shall be allowed to carry study materials like notebooks, books, guess papers, inside the examination centre. Examination personnel will also not be allowed to carry mobile phones, smart phones, smart watches, earbuds, or any electronic devices that may lead to the use of unfair means inside the examination centre.Centre superintendents and teachers deployed at examination centres shall ensure that any person engaging in criminal or threatening behaviour towards any examination personnel is reported to the concerned magistrate.No person or group shall cause or obstruct traffic jams. They shall not stop any govt or non-govt personnel from going on duty.Complaints filed as a result of violation of this order shall be filed by the executive magistrate with territorial jurisdiction over the concerned area.Additional commissioner (LO & Traffic) Raj Karan Nayyar said any type of violation of the conditions told to people is punishable under Section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of BNS.
