Mangaluru: CII Centre of Excellence for Employment and Livelihood (CII CEL) will host a two-day second Business Excellence Workshop for micro and small enterprises from Feb 18. Mangaluru Entrepreneurs Development Forum will also be launched during the programme.The programme builds on the first workshop held in Mangaluru in 2025 and is part of the Micro Business Excellence initiative to strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship and local economic development.Natraj Hegde, chairman, CII Mangaluru, and managing director, SN Cryogenics Pvt Ltd, said Dakshina Kannada has over 18,500 registered MSMEs, 99% of them micro enterprises across sectors such as food processing, marine products, petrochemical and allied units, coir, biotech and innovation, manufacturing and engineering, and logistics and services. He urged micro and small entrepreneurs to participate and use the platform to connect, learn and grow.Prakash Rao, past chairman, CII Mangaluru, and director, Kalbavi Cashews, said the CII CEL Micro Business Excellence initiative is active in seven states and works with more than 2,000 micro enterprises, supporting their growth journeys. He said the launch of the forum will expand local engagement and participation.The two-day workshop will cover profit and loss management, risk assessment, balance sheet analysis, sales strategy, cash flow optimisation and marketing.Participants who join the forum will receive one year of free handholding support, including capacity building, mentorship and facilitation for market linkages.
