Chennai: Kodungaiyur police arrested a 38-year-old woman on Wednesday for barging into a businessman’s home and torching his two-wheeler after he severed communication with her. Police said Sudhakar, 47, is married and lives with his wife and two daughters. He became acquainted with Ramya, also married, but who lived apart from her husband. In Nov last year, Sudhakar and Ramya started a bike showroom together on Kamaraj Salai in Kodungaiyur. However, they shut down the outlet due to losses. Their relationship subsequently soured due to the financial dispute, and Sudhakar stopped meeting her. Early on Wednesday, Ramya, wearing a burqa, came to Sudhakar’s house, set fire to the two-wheeler parked outside his house and to the door of the house, and fled. Sudhakar and neighbours doused the fire. Following a complaint to the police, Ramya was arrested on Wednesday morning.
