Chennai: Tamil Nadu will conduct a fully digitised household listing operation from July 17 till Aug 30. It will cover 33 types of household particulars, such as building material, amenities, and assets.The self-enumeration phase will be conducted from July 17 to 31, while the house listing operation will be carried out from Aug 1 to 30, state public department principal secretary Reeta Harish Thakkar said in an official release.
It was part of the nationwide exercise of the house-listing operations of the Census 2027. Details will be gathered through a questionnaire, which will include 33 questions to determine socio-economic condition of each family. It will include parameters such as number of members in the family, sex of head of the family, caste, number of married couples, condition of the house, number of dwelling rooms, availability of drinking water, latrine, fuel used for cooking, access to internet, vehicles, and main cereal consumed in the household.
