Rourkela: A traffic inspector posted at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Sundargarh was arrested by Odisha vigilance officers on Monday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a truck owner.The accused, Mukesh Kumar Mishra, traffic inspector, allegedly sought the amount as a ‘monthly quota’ for June and July 2026 to allow the complainant’s two HYVA trucks to operate without hindrance in his jurisdiction. Jamshedpur: The search for 22-year-old Mir Tanveer Hasan, a fourth-year BTech student of the Metallurgical Engineering Department at NIT Jamshedpur, continued for the second consecutive day on Monday, but rescuers failed to trace him.Hasan went missing on Sunday afternoon while bathing at the Asangi check dam on the Kharkai river.
