Jaipur: Shriram General Insurance Company (SGI) reported a strong first quarter for FY27, outpacing industry growth across its core segments. Premium income rose 23% year-on-year to Rs 1,180 crore, compared with Rs 960 crore in Q1FY26, well ahead of the industry’s 11% growth.Motor insurance, the company’s largest portfolio, surged 25% against the industry’s 14% rise. Personal accident premiums grew 47%, in line with sector trends, while health insurance expanded sharply at 211%. Net profit increased 5% to Rs 131 crore.
