Hyderabad: Free heart surgeries for children will be conducted at the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad for one week from August 13 onwards, director Rahul Devaraj said on Monday.The surgeries will be performed by the department of cardiothoracic surgery, with support from London-based paediatric cardiac surgeon Dr Ramana Tannashuneni and a team of technical experts.In a statement released by NIMS, it said has been conducting the annual free heart surgery programme for the past five years.
