Colva: Colva police have recovered additional 4.5kg of suspected ganja from the residence of Issac Regan Pereira, 29, a resident of Navelim. Pereira was arrested by Colva police at Cavelossim on Thursday after he was allegedly found in possession of 3.6kg of suspected ganja.Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted Pereira at Cavelossim and seized the suspected contraband. Nagpur: A group of bikers allegedly riding at high speeds and using modified silencers has become a daily nuisance for residents and pedestrians along the Orange City Street stretch, with locals particularly concerned about the safety of senior citizens who use the road for evening walks.Locals, speaking to TOI, said a group of around five to seven youngsters, mostly riding high-horsepower sports and cruiser motorcycles, makes repeated rounds of the stretch between around 7pm and 9pm. Kolkata: Following a directive from Nabanna, Lalbazar’s top brass has instructed all divisions to re-examine pending Pocso cases, including those where chargesheets are yet to be filed and those currently under trial. Officers have been asked to take necessary steps to ensure the cases reach their logical conclusion.The law requires police to complete investigations in Pocso Act cases within two months, or 60 days, from the date the information is recorded.
