MUMBAI: For the first time in recent memory, the popular 7.5-acre Bandra Talao, a Grade II heritage lake, has been dewatered as part of a major rejuvenation drive. The urban waterbody is now a vast stretch of exposed mudflats and heavy silt deposits, with excavation machinery and pumps working through the remaining patches of sludge. New Delhi: Two hydrogen-powered shuttle buses recently became operational in Central Vista area, making it the first such service for the city. Each hydrogen bus is equipped with four cylinders mounted on the roof, taking the total capacity to about 30 kg.On a single refill, a hydrogen bus can travel nearly 250 km. Currently, the buses cover about 180 km daily, including trips to Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s station at Faridabad for refuelling.
