Chandigarh: UT police have booked seven immigration firms in separate cases for allegedly duping multiple victims of nearly Rs 66 lakh on the pretext of arranging visas and overseas placements.Cases were registered across police stations in Sectors 17, 34 and 36 following complaints from victims in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Patna: State education minister Mithilesh Tiwari on Saturday announced the results of the Intermediate and Matriculation special and compartmental examinations 2026 conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). Board chairman Anand Kishor was also present during the announcement.The Intermediate compartmental examination recorded an overall pass percentage of 51.38%, while 21.16% candidates cleared the Matriculation Compartmental Examination.In the special examinations, 55.31% students passed the Intermediate examination and 57.18% cleared the Matriculation examination.A total of 6,498 students appeared in the Intermediate special examination, of whom 3,711 were declared successful. Nagpur: A 16-year-old girl who was abducted in 2022 has been rescued from Delhi and safely brought back to Nagpur.The girl, niece of the complainant, went missing on Sept 28, 2022, from the Ajni police station limits after leaving home to visit a tailor. A case of kidnapping was registered at Ajni police station.Acting on specific intelligence on May 22, 2026, the Crime Branch’s anti-trafficking unit intercepted the girl at Nagpur railway station while she was returning from Delhi.
