Balangir: Police on Monday seized explosives and arrested three persons for allegedly conducting illegal blasting operations at a stone quarry near Talpadar village under Tarbha police station limits in Subarnapur district. Police seized 43 detonators, 225 packets of gunpowder each weighing 25 kg and six bundles of detonating cord. TNNPanaji: The functioning of the North Goa district hospital, Mapusa, was affected for nearly four hours on Monday due to power failure after a short circuit in the low-tension (LT) electrical panel near the diesel generator. After emergency repairs, power was restored at around 8.30 pm.While the hospital’s ICU remained unaffected, several other sections of the hospital were left without electricity. Amritsar: A video has gone viral showing two men transporting a murder victim’s body on a scooter before dumping it in an isolated area. Police have arrested one of the suspects.The body of the victim, identified as Saurav from the Guru Nanak Pura area, was recovered on May 28 within the jurisdiction of the Kot Khalsa–Islamabad police station, a day after he went missing.
