Chandrapur: A lost ancient settlement believed to be one of the earliest habitations linked to present-day Chandrapur has been identified near the confluence of Irai and Jharpat rivers, according to local historian and researcher Prof Suresh Chopane. The site, known today as Bor Rith, has yielded archaeological evidence spanning from the Stone Age to Satavahana, Vakataka and Yadava periods, suggesting a long and continuous history of human occupation.Prof Chopane said this lost settlement lies outside flood-prone zone near the river confluence and is presently occupied by agricultural fields. Dhanbad: Ending a two-month-long deadlock, the district administration and the Dhanbad Bar Association (DBA) on Monday agreed over a 30-feet wide approach road connecting a newly built warehouse to the Dhanbad Main Road through the district court premises.A DBA delegation led by its president Radeshyam Goswami and met Dhanbad sub-divisional officer (SDO) Lokesh Barange and district officials. Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday directed the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) to fast-track the creation of a statewide charging-station network to support the planned scale-up of e-buses under the ‘Viksit Maharashtra’ vision.The state targets conversion of 50% of the ST fleet to electric by 2029, 80% by 2035 and 100% by 2047, the CM said.
