Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has stepped up precautionary measures to safeguard train operations during the upcoming monsoon, focusing on protecting railway tracks, bridges and vulnerable hill sections from heavy rainfall.To prevent waterlogging, ECoR has cleared cross drains and longitudinal drains in station yards by removing silt, vegetation and other obstructions, ensuring the free flow of rainwater. DHARMAPURI: Two Nepal nationals died after a pickup van hit the two-wheeler they were riding on near Indur in Dharmapuri district on Tuesday night.The deceased have been identified as M Harish, 45, a Gurkha security worker who lived with his family in Indur, and his relative, V Dhanraj, 42, who recently arrived from Bengaluru to visit him.
