Bengaluru: A proposed cell to streamline recovery of dues in cases adjudicated by the state’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) has been dropped, disappointing homebuyers. Instead, the govt has appointed a special deputy commissioner for Bengaluru Urban district to handle recovery of pending amounts.Officials said discussions were held on forming a dedicated recovery committee, but the plan was shelved as such a body would lack legal powers to enforce collections.
