Hazaribag: Body of an unidentified man, believed to be aged around 30 years, was recovered from a sack on a freight train wagon at Banadag railway siding in Hazaribag district on Wednesday. Mumbai: The office of the collector (state excise), Mumbai city, has suspended the liquor licence of The Ghetto Restaurant and Bar, located at Mahalaxmi, for a period of 15 days.The suspension order, issued by Mumbai city collector Anchal Goyal, comes in the wake of a surprise inspection that showed discrepancies in liquor stock, unauthorised structural alterations to the licensed premises, and disturbances caused by crowds outside the venue. New Delhi: Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has awarded a Rs17.7 lakh contract to IIT Delhi to independently evaluate the performance of all 29 sewage treatment plants (STPs) in the capital, including testing whether their disinfection systems are effective in eliminating faecal coliform bacteria before treated sewage is discharged and reaches Yamuna.In an affidavit dated June 30, filed before the tribunal, DJB informed that IIT Delhi has been engaged for a comprehensive “Performance Evaluation and Adequacy Assessment” of all its STPs on June 5.
