Margao: Govt has extended its financial assistance scheme for the Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd (SSSKL) for another year, from Apr 1, 2026, to Mar 31, 2027, according to a notification issued by the directorate of agriculture.This is the third time the scheme has been extended since its notification in Nov 2020, with previous renewals coming in July 2023 and Feb 2025.Under the scheme, govt provides grant-in-aid to SSSKL to meet operating expenses, including staff salaries, sugarcane harvesting charges to farmers, and maintenance costs for the karkhana’s buildings and machinery.
