Bengaluru: Two men, including a 55-year-old BMTC driver, died in two separate road crashes in the city since Friday night.The first accident was reported around 9pm when P Shivanna, a BMTC driver, fell from his tractor and succumbed. Attached to Uttarahalli BMTC depot, Shivanna owned the tractor and drove it in his spare time. “On Friday night, his friend Venkatesh was driving the tractor and Shivanna was sitting on an adjacent seat. Suddenly, Shivanna lost balance and fell. Sustaining head injuries, he succumbed later. Venkatesh was booked for causing death due to negligence,” an investigating officer said.The second accident was reported around 10.30pm when a speeding mini-goods vehicle rammed into a motorbike on City Market flyover, killing its rider on the spot. The deceased was identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Sudhamanagar. A mechanic by profession, Kumar was riding towards Townhall when the goods vehicle rear-ended his motorbike, police said. The driver fled the scene.
