Hisar: A 27-year-old private bus conductor was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths at ITI Chowk near Jindal Hospital Road in Hisar for issuing tickets. An FIR was registered at the Civil Lines police station, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the attackers. According to the complaint filed by Amandeep, a resident of Garanpur Kalan village in Bhiwani district, he works as a conductor on a private bus operating on the Hisar–Tosham route. He alleged that on the morning of Feb 19, a group of youths boarded the bus and refused to buy tickets. Despite their resistance, he issued tickets to them.Later in the afternoon, at around 1:45 pm, when the bus halted at ITI Chowk, 10–12 youths allegedly boarded the vehicle again, dragged him off the bus, and assaulted him with sticks and iron pipes. He sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body. Police said the medical examination confirmed injuries at 3 places. Initially, doctors declared the injured conductor unfit to give a statement. His statement was recorded after he was declared fit. The investigation was assigned to ASI Jitendra Kumar.
