Cleared – maniChennai: A bus conductor, who misbehaved with a schoolgirl, was bashed up by the passengers before being handed over to the police near Tiruttani on Monday night. Police said the 15-year-old girl was travelling in bus number 78 from Tiruttani, in which the accused Ilayaraja, 49, was the bus conductor. She was returning from her grandmother’s house along with her sister when the incident took place. Ilayaraja misbehaved with her on the pretext of offering a bus ticket to the girl. Panicked over this, the girl raised an alarm, after which the passengers stopped the bus. A few of her relatives who were on the bus bashed up the conductor and took him to Tiruttani All Women Police Station. Police registered a case and arrested him. MSID:: 130090532 413 |
