Ludhiana: Three alloy wheels and a spare tyre were stolen from a car parked in the parking lot of the civil hospital in May. Division 2 police lodged an FIR against unidentified acsused Sunday following a complaint from the owner of the car — a Mahindra Thar, Rakesh Kumar. Kumar, who runs a hosiery store, is a resident of Rari Mohalla near Neem Wala Chowk.In his complaint, Kumar said he had parked his car in the civil hospital’s parking lot near the de-addiction centre on May 15. On May 18, when he went there to get the vehicle, he was shocked to see three alloy wheels and a spare tyre of the vehicle were missing. When he asked the parking lot contractor about it, he could not give a satisfactory reply. He then lodged a police complaint.ASI Kuldeep Raj from division 2 PS, who is investigating the case, said because of the narrow lanes with hardly any space for parking, residents of areas in the vicinity of the civil hospital keep their vehicles at the hospital’s parking lot in collusion with the contractor.
