Nagpur: An unidentified thief decamped with gold ornaments and cash worth around ₹2.85 lakh from a house in Pachpaoli police station limits. According to police, complainant Shila Tete (50), a resident of Tandapeth, had kept gold jewellery belonging to her sister-in-law safely in a locker at her residence. The locker key was stored in a cupboard. Between March 11 and March 17, the accused allegedly entered the house through an open door, accessed the cupboard, and used the key to open the locker. The stolen items include two gold mangalsutras, a gold chain, four pairs of earrings weighing around 67 grams, along with ₹20,000 cash. Further investigation is underway.
