Hyderabad: BRS deputy floor leader T Harish Rao has demanded that the state govt extend the assembly session by a week. The govt is planning to conclude the sessions by March 31.During a chat with reporters, Harish Rao said the way the assembly sessions were conducted was not satisfactory and on Wednesday two important questions were not discussed.The govt has completely failed in conducting the assembly and blatantly disregarded rules. The session was adjourned for three hours to give cheques to the families of deceased electricity employees. Despite saying they would take up zero hour every day, they haven’t for the past two days, and discussion on public issues in the assembly.He said the govt evaded answers to many questions, including one raised by KT Rama Rao on how many job notifications were issued after Congress came to power. The govt replied that 16 notifications were issued for 16,978 jobs.“During the BRS regime, appointment letters were given to 50,785 people, yet Congress claims they provided jobs. The govt has deceived the unemployed. If the six guarantees had been implemented, we would have appreciated Congress,” Harish Rao added.He said he raised a question seeking clarity on welfare boards and corporations. They replied that of 33 corporations, only 16 have offices. The Congress govt stated that in two years, they had allocated 386 crore to the Rajaka Federation, but spent only 1 crore. Similarly, for Nayi Brahmins, 280 crore was allocated, but only 30 lakh was spent. He said that 100 crore each was allotted for Munnuru Kapus and Kishna Balija (Pusala) and 25 crore for Arya Vysyas, but not a single rupee was spent.Harish Rao said the same was the situation with the BC, ST and SC corporations, where not even 5% to 10% of the allocated budgets was spent.
