Hisar: A Hisar resident has accused his wife of fleeing with jewellery just three days after their wedding, allegedly after drugging him and his younger brother on MahashivratriSahil Bansal (25), a resident of Ghoda Farm Road, said he married Madhu of Chhati Chhattisgarh on Feb 14. According to the complaint, the family ate dinner on Sunday night and retired to their rooms. The complainant alleged the bride mixed sleeping pills in milk served to him and his younger brother. After they fell asleep, she allegedly left the house in the early hours of the morning, taking jewellery kept in cupboards. Police said a case was registered against unknown persons under Section 127(6) (missing person) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita. The marriage was reportedly arranged through a middleman in Chhattisgarh. The family claimed that six members from the bride’s side travelled to Hisar for the ceremony and stayed in a hotel booked by them.
