Ahmedabad: A minor student was allegedly slashed by his classmate after a dispute over seating at a tuition class in Ahmedabad. The assailant was later brought to the police by his parents.According to the complainant, the matter escalated after the class ended. “I was standing near a dairy in Hirawadi when the accused accosted me,” the complainant said. The complainant alleged that during the confrontation, the accused pulled out a knife and attacked him. “He struck me once with the knife on the left side of my stomach,” the complainant stated. He added, “When I raised an alarm, he ran away.” Bapunagar police inspector S G Khambhala said that the attack occurred on Sunday. The victim is being treated at Civil Hospital and is stable. “On Monday, the parents of the accused minor brought him to the police station,” Khambhala said. “Since he is a minor, he was allowed to go back and will be called for questioning again.” A case of voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons has been registered by the police. The complainant, a 17-year-old Bapunagar resident, told police, “When my classmate entered our tuition room, there was no space, so I told him to go to another room.” The complainant added, “In response, he abused me.” According to cops, after the attack, the injured minor was taken to Civil Hospital in a rickshaw.
