Students appearing for the SSLC Mathematics examination recently faced difficulties due to bold watermark markings on the question paper, which made several portions of the text unclear. Sources said that the watermark, introduced as a security measure to prevent duplication of question papers, included coded numbers printed across the paper. However, the thickness of the watermark reportedly obstructed visibility, leading to confusion among students during the exam.
Teachers pointed out that while a similar watermark system was used last year, the markings were comparatively lighter. This year, the watermark appears to have been printed in much bolder text, resulting in readability issues. Notably, the problem was reported only in Kannada medium question papers, while English medium papers remained clear and legible.
