Thiruvananthapuram: The body of the 17-year-old boy, one of the two teens who went missing while swimming in sea at Puthenthope on Sunday evening, was recovered on Tuesday morning. Police identified the deceased as Nabeel. His body was spotted by local fishermen near South Thumba, close to VSSC. Thumba police later shifted the remains to the medical college hospital for postmortem.Rescue teams had retrieved the body of Abhijith, 16, the other student who went missing along with Nabeel, on Monday morning. The accident happened around 5:30pm on Sunday when five students from Blue Mount Public School, Mangalapuram, ventured into the sea. Three of them were caught in strong waves. While one of them was rescued, Abhijith and Nabeel went missing. “We urge the public to avoid the sea during rough conditions and to adhere to beach safety advisories,” a police officer of Thumba police station said.
