Patna: A 25-year-old man, Md Faizan, who was missing since Saturday evening, was found dead in a pond in South Malhabigha locality under Islampur police station area in Nalanda district on Sunday. The deceased’s father, Md Shameem alias Fenku, alleged he was brutally beaten, citing deep injury marks. Faizan, father of a child, was last seen leaving home with a neighbour’s son. Police recovered the body after his friend Rihan Ahmad, who returned home injured, reportedly identified it before fleeing. Hilsa SDPO-II Kumar Ritu Raj said an application was received from the family about the incident.
