BJP National President Nitin Nabin accused the Nehru-Gandhi family of pursuing what he described as a “compromise mission” that prioritised personal and foreign interests over national welfare. He referred to Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi as a “puppet of foreign powers”.
Speaking to the media, Nabin alleged a legacy of betrayal by the Congress leadership, ranging from policies related to Tibet to Rahul Gandhi’s meetings abroad.
“I’m sharing with you information about how the Gandhi family’s compromise mission continued. How the entire Nehru-Gandhi family has always protected its interests by compromising with the people of the country. There was a time when Nehru himself said that 45 crore people are a liability for me. We all know his relationship with foreign powers. You have also seen Rahul Gandhi, how he acts as a puppet of foreign powers. We all know how Nehru, in 1954, handed over India’s rights in Tibet to China,” Nabin claimed.
He further alleged that a former US Ambassador had admitted that the CIA funded the Congress party’s election campaign and accused former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi of using defence deals for personal financial benefit.
Nabin also accused the Congress of running a “parallel government” during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) era and compromising national interests for foreign funding.
He alleged that between 2004 and 2014, Congress Parliamentary Chairperson Sonia Gandhi exercised “unconstitutional power” as a “Super PM” through the National Advisory Council (NAC), claiming the body was designed to bypass the official Cabinet and undermine the authority of the then Prime Minister.“Sonia Gandhi, who became the Super PM between 2004-14 through the National Advisory Council, ran a parallel government and Cabinet. At the same time, funding for the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation from the Chinese government was provided under the Compromise Mission,” he claimed.
Separately, Union Minister Piyush Goyal echoed similar allegations, calling the Gandhi family a “completely compromised political family”.
“The Gandhi family is a completely compromised political family. Rahul Gandhi and his Congress party are a compromised family, a compromised political party. Rahul Gandhi means compromise. Look at the Congress party’s history or its present whether it’s the various tales of corruption, how they compromise public interest and national interest under the influence of foreign powers there are countless examples before the country and the public of how they completely compromise the country and its bright future, the bright future of its citizens. Rahul Gandhi has become the poster boy of negative politics,” Goyal said.
