Mysuru: Former minister and BJP functionary N Mahesh on Monday demanded the resignation of housing minister Zameer Ahmed Khan over alleged irregularities in the housing department.Mahesh said this govt is entangled in a series of scams, and now another scam has emerged. If the govt has any respect, the housing minister should resign, just as former minister B Nagendra resigned following charges, he said.He further stated that this govt is entirely corrupt, with no development happening. They are under the illusion that they will continue in power due to the chaotic implementation of guaranteed schemes. These scams will eventually lead to the downfall of this govt.Commenting on the caste census issue, Mahesh accused the govt of deceiving the people. Chief minister Siddaramaiah, fearing dominant communities, is being unjust to the Ahinda community. The central govt is prepared to conduct a caste census along with the population census. The state govt should accept the central govt’s caste and population census and remain silent, he said.The govt is not interested in implementing internal reservations, which is why they are delaying the survey on internal reservations, he criticised.
